Why Pre-Columbian and Oceanic Art is Amazing

From the (somewhat) recently opened de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park, which is notable only for its excellent Pre-Columbian art and otherwise terrible curation of the permanent collection, whose organization must of been something like "hey, let's put a bunch of similar stuff in one room! Let's have a room called 'Angry Art'!" Although this exhibit on Ruth Asawa looks pretty delightful.
